Samsung wants iPhone to be banned in Korea -CNET
The iPhone 5 has not even been announced yet, and already Samsung is intended to prohibit its sale in South Korea, says a new report.
According to the Korea Times, citing sources familiar with the matter, Samsung will unveil a lawsuit against Apple for violating its patents related to wireless communications, as soon as possible after the company’s Cupertino, Calif., released its follow-up on the iPhone 4. In this demand, sources of the Korea Times’ for example, Samsung will ask the Court to ban all sales of the device.
“During the time that Apple does not lower the mobile telecommunications functions, it would be impossible for the sale of its i-brand products without the use of our patents,” a Samsung source reportedly told The Korea Times. “We will keep a firm stance against Apple for continuing legal fights.”
The Korea Times report is just the latest installment in the ongoing saga between Apple and Samsung legal. In recent months, companies have intensified their bitter patent fight, taking the whole world. As of this writing, companies are struggling in the U.S., Australia, Europe, and parts of Asia.
So far, Apple has gotten the best of Samsung. In Australia, the manufacturer of the iPhone was able to reach an agreement with Samsung shows three designs Galaxy Tab 10.1 compressed before it is sold only version that Apple allows. Moreover, rumors can not even keep a straight line: Some reports suggest that the device will begin this month, while others say it will not happen until October.
